Victor Harp was a four-year member of the basketball team and co-captain during his senior year. A forward with a 41-inch vertical leap, Harp was selected to the All-PAC First Team for three consecutive years (1982-83, 1983-84, 1984-85). Following his junior season, he was named to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette Small College Second Team. “The Skywalker,” as local newspapers referred to him, was the all-time career points leader (1,807) at the time of his induction. At the end of his career, he held the top three single-game scoring records, scoring 54 points against Penn State Behrend in 1984, 46 points against Hiram in 1985 and 43 points against both Dennison and Hobart in 1984.

Harp was the heart and soul of the basketball team during his career at Thiel. He played the game with recklessness and a passion that was due, in large part, to his love and dedication to the game of basketball.
