The 1964 Wrestling Team, under the direction of head coach Mel Berry, withstood a grueling schedule to finish 10-0 and capture the program’s second Presidents’ Athletic Conference championship. In route to its perfect season, the Tomcats downed larger schools such as Eastern Michigan, Slippery Rock, and Edinboro. Five members of the team – Dennis Riley (123), Bill Harpst (137), Bob Weeber (157), John Stevens (167) and Chuck Evanoff (177) – won individual PAC titles.
