Todd Vennis was a four-year letter winner in both football and wrestling. He was a four-time All-PAC selection as a member of the Tomcats football team. He earned various All-American awards following his senior campaign. He was twice named to the Pittsburgh Press All-Region First Team. Vennis finished his wrestling career with a 67-40-1 overall record and was a four-time NCAA Division III Regional place winner.
