Tim Taylor was a four-year defensive end and a three-time All PAC pick. Taylor also served as a team captain in both the 2011 and 2012 seasons.

Taylor was a First Team All-PAC honoree in 2011 and 2012, and an Honorable Mention pick in 2010. Taylor received multiple PAC Player of the Week honors. In 2011, Taylor was named to the Academic All-District IV First Team, as selected by College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). In 2012, Taylor was named to the Associated Press (AP) Little All-America Third Team and the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) All-American Third Team. He was also a member of the Capital One Academic All-District IV First Team, as selected by CoSIDA, and was named First Team Preseason All-America by USA Football News. Taylor played in the D3 Senior Classic, helping the South team earn a 37-21 win with two sacks.

Taylor holds the program records for tackles-for-loss and sacks, 66.5 and 34.5, respectively. Taylor also ranks first (22.5, 2011), second (22.0, 2012), and fourth (17.5, 2010) in single season tackles-for-loss to go along with ranking first (13.5, 2012) and being tied for third (11.0, 2011) for total sacks in a season. Taylor also has the single game record for tackles-for-loss with 7.0 on Oct. 15, 2011 vs. Bethany.
