The reverend Dr. Clair O. Dufford letter four years in both football and basketball and two years in baseball. Dufford appeared as a walk-on at the 1920 football training camp at Conneaut Lake. He secured a starting position at end, which he held for four years. He was a member of the 1923 football team that tied for the Tri-State conference title.
On the hardwood, Dufford was the starting guard for four years, serving as captain his senior year. He was selected to the All-Star Team of the Tri-State conference his last two seasons. Lettering two years in baseball, He served as captain his senior year. He was also selected to the All-Star Team of the Tri-State conference in baseball.
