Paul Fiore achieved an outstanding record on the football field and the baseball diamond. He was selected as the 1981 Thiel College Male Athlete of the Year. The 5’10” 190-pounder was a cornerback and outside linebacker in football and a shortstop and left fielder in baseball. He was captain of both teams during his junior and senior seasons.
Fiore was an All-PAC athlete three time in both sports. He was selected to the All-District Team three times in football and twice in baseball. His senior year, he was selected to the College Division Academic All-American Football Team.
In his senior season, the baseball team won its first PAC championship, with Fiore batting .500 in the conference and .410 for the season.
During his career, he led the football team in tackles and led the baseball team in seven offensive categories. He finished his baseball career with a .316 batting average.
