Marvin Prentice was a four-time letter winner in track and cross country. As a freshman, Prentice made the All-PAC First Team for the most team points in a season for cross country. In 1968, he made the All-PAC Second Team for cross country.
In 1969, he again earned All-PAC honors for his first-place win in the 440-yard dash with a time of 49.2 seconds. He did it again in 1970 (49.1 seconds) and 1971 (49.0 seconds). At the time of his induction, he ranked second in the 440-yard dash (49.0), the 440 relay (43.5) and the mile relay (3:25.5).
