Lucio Martin earned four letters in football and one in basketball. Measuring 6’2” and weighing 195 pounds, “Luc” earned three of his letters as an end and his final letter as quarterback for the 1954 season. Serving as co-captain, Luc helped lead the 1954 football team to its most impressive season since the undefeated team of 1950. The team finished its season 5-2.
On Gold Letter Day in 1956, Luc received the Thiel Athletic Award for his outstanding contributions to Thiel athletics.
