Linda Oman began her successful basketball career at Cedar Cliff High School in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania. In her senior season at Cedar Cliff as co-captain, Oman helped lead her team to an undefeated season, the first in school history.
In 1971, Oman came to Thiel College and continued her basketball career as a member of the Thiel Tomkittens. As a sophomore, Oman contributed to women’s basketball team’s third undefeated season. In 1975, Oman’s senior year, the women chalked up another successful season (8-4). Oman was a four-year letter winner with the women’s basketball team and became the leading rebounder her senior year. As co-captain, she ended the 12 game season with 170 rebounds and was the second highest scorer with 105 points.
