Thiel College Athletics

A graduate of Reynolds High School, Libby (Hauser) Purdy earned four letter awards with Thiel's track & field team. She was a two-time All-American in the javelin, her signature event. She finished third in the javelin at the 2003 NCAA Division III Championships (141-11) and fifth at the 2004 NCAA Division III Championships (143-0). Hauser was an eight-time All-PAC performer. She placed second in the conference in the javelin in 2006 (113-07). In 2004, she won a PAC title in the javelin (41 meters) and finished third in the shot put (10.67 meters). In 2003, Hauser won the league crown in the javelin (130-7) and finished second in the shot put (34-7). In 2002, she swept conference titles in the javelin (135-6), the discus (98-1) and the shot put (32-1.25). Hauser won an ECAC title in the javelin in 2003 (142-3) and finished third in the same event at the ECAC Championships in 2002 (133-5).
