Jim Miale was a three-sport standout athlete during his time at Thiel, competing in football, baseball and basketball. He was awarded four letters as a member of both the baseball and basketball teams and three with the football team.
As a senior, Miale was named an All-PAC Honorable Mention selection as both a quarterback and punter. At the time of his induction, he ranked fifth in career passing attempts (542), fifth in career completions (261), seventh in career passing yards (3,028) and tied for seventh in career touchdown passes (16).
As a member of the basketball team, Miale appeared in 78 games averaging 5 point and 5.2 rebounds per contest.
