David Weiland earned four letters as a member of the wrestling team. He was a two-time PAC champion at 142 pounds as well as a two-time NCAA Division III National Qualifier (1988, 1991). During the 1991 season, he went 4-0 at the NCAA Division III Eastern Regional Qualifiers, advancing him to the NCAA Division III National Championships. His second-place finish at the NCAA Division III National Championships qualified him as an All-American. He finished the 1991 season with a 19-7-0 mark and finished his stellar career with a record of 70-23-3.
