Former men’s golf standout Daniel Phillips is one of just five Thiel golfers and the second most recent to be crowned the individual medalist at the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Men's Golf Championship. His two-day stroke total of 149 won the title in 1976 and is the lowest score of the all title-winning Tomcat golfers. He was named all-PAC first team in both 1975 and 1976 and lettered in each of his four years at Thiel. Team accomplishments during Phillips’ time with the Tomcats included two PAC championships (1973, 1975) and a national qualifying performance by the 1975 squad.
