Charles Goodrick was a four-year starting forward on the basketball team and a four-year starting defensive end on the football team, earning four letters in each sport. Goodrick served as co-captain and received league honors for the 1973-73 basketball season. He was player of the week in numerous occasions in football and received league honors his senior year. On the football field, Goodrick was described as the defensive end that would put plenty of heat on the quarterback, was extremely quick for his size and would make things happen.
