Charles Evanoff was a standout on the football field and the wrestling mat. He played both offensive guard and linebacker. During the 1963 season, he was selected as team captain along with being named an All-PAC performer. Evanoff was selected twice a captain of the wrestling team (1962-63, 1963-64). During his junior and senior seasons on the mat, he went undefeated, winning PAC titles at 177 pounds each season.
