Amber Bodrick was a four-time All-Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) First Team selection in basketball and a three-time D3hoops.com Great Lakes All-Region Second Team awardee. She made a name for herself as a freshman when she scored 535 points in 26 games, the most by a freshman in program history.
Bodrick went on to score 1,867 points in her career, the second most in school history behind hall of famer Tricia Kosenina ’93, who scored 2,086 points in her career. Her 733 field goals are the most in program history while her 326 free throws rank second in school history. She also ranks among the best in program history in multiple other statistical categories, including: rebounds (tied 3rd, 828), blocks (5th, 96), steals (6th, 194), assists (11th, 202) and three-point field goals (14th, 75).
A native of Boardman, Ohio, and graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School, Bodrick helped the Tomcats win 11 games during her senior season in 2008-09 and make an appearance in the semifinals of the conference tournament.
As a freshman on Jan. 25, 2006, Bodrick led the Tomcats to a 92-89 win over PAC foe Bethany at Beeghly Gymnasium when she scored 51 points, the most in a single-game in Thiel history. Bodrick made 20 shots from the floor in the win, which is also the most in a single game in program history. Bodrick made eight three-pointers in a 90-87 win on the road over Washington & Jefferson on Jan. 9, 2008, which stood as the most in program history until Jess Vormelker ’19 drained nine three-pointers against Bethany on Jan. 6, 2018.
